From fall 2017 through fall 2020, Yale School of Art in the World functioned as a bi-weekly email digest of exhibitions, events, and publications from alumni, faculty, and students published during the academic year.
From fall 2020 until the end of the 2024 calendar year, the publication transitioned to become a continuously maintained calendar and archive of events, exhibitions, publications, and initiatives hosted by, led by, or featuring members of the School of Art community.
At the start of 2025, we transitioned away from the calendars and archive, as a new website is currently in development for the Yale School of Art with a planned feature being a new alumni hub. Please continue sending us your news and exhibitions, either through this form, or by emailing schoolofartalumni@yale.edu as our Office of Development and Alumni Relations is keeping an eye on submissions until the launch of the new website. If you are interested in learning more about how the School of Art in the World functioned in the past, please visit the archive here >

Class Action Collective
David Comberg ‘94, Pamela Hovland '93 and Senior Critic in Graphic Design, Tom Starr '94, and Jacqueline Thaw '95
Class Action is a graphic design collective that creates visual messages to advocate social change. The group’s goal is to influence the way public issues are understood and to motivate audiences to participate in civic dialogue. Formed in 1992 at the Yale School of Art, Class Action Collective’s self-initiated projects attempt to illuminate attitudes and conditions overlooked in mainstream media. The designers of Class Action initiated, wrote, designed and published these projects collaboratively.
