The Yale School of Art is pleased to announce the Painting and Printmaking Graduate Thesis show In Praise of Shadows.
The two part exhibition features work by 2021 master’s candidates Vamba Bility, Brianna Rose Brooks, David Craig, Danielle De Jesus, Nathaniel Donnett, Leyla Faye, Kate Meissner, Mich Miller, Gabriel Mills, Dala Nasser, Alina Perez, Tamen Pérez, Sara Rahmanian, Jonathan Rajewski, Emma Safir, Chibuike Uzoma, and Curtis Welteroth.
Due to Covid-19 precautions the physical exhibition in the Green Hall Gallery is viewable only to members of the School of Art community, who are invited to make appointments here. The general public is invited to view a comprehensive online exhibition launching March 1st.
Group 1 features Kate Meissner, Mich Miller, Gabriel Mills, Alina Perez, Tamen Pérez, Sara Rahmanian, Emma Safir, Chibụike Ụzọma, and Curtis Welteroth.
In Praise of Shadows is curated by guest lecturer Ebony L. Haynes with exhibition identity by Jun Jung, Nick Massarelli, & Mianwei Wang, Graphic Design MFAs ‘21.

During the Spring 2021 semester, exhibitions will be open only to members of the School of Art community who must follow all rules regarding wearing masks and social distancing and sign up for a reservation slot here >>
Group 1: February 1-7 in Green Hall Gallery
There are 4 slots available every 20 minutes during the following times:
Monday, February 1 : 6 – 9PM
Wednesday, February 3: 6 – 8:20PM
Saturday, February 6: 6 – 8:40PM
Sunday, February 7: 4 – 6PM
