Brent Howard, SculptorMr. Howard received his B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1999 and his M.F.A. from Hunter College (CUNY) in 2002. He has exhibited his work in various galleries in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. He is the president and founder of Soapstone Studios in Brooklyn, New York, where his clients have included Yoko Ono, Dennis Oppenheim, David Byrne, and Nari Ward. Mr. Howard worked for many years in close collaboration with Louise Bourgeois, for whom he created many pieces including Maman (2001) and Spider Couple (2003). Mr. Howard was appointed lecturer in sculpture in 2009.
