Accepted / admitted students are those who have completed and submitted an Admissions application for the current year and have received a formal acceptance from the School of Art. This is the second official step in the Financial Aid process.
Applicants who are accepted for admission and have correctly completed their financial aid application by the March 1, 2026, deadline will receive a provisional financial aid determination shortly after their notification of admission. All provisional financial aid awards are subject to final review through our Financial Aid Verification process. For details on required documents for our verification process, please review the “Financial Aid Verification” section below. Financial Aid Verification is only required for financial aid recipients who accept their offer of admission to the School.
Admitted students who enroll at the School must reapply for financial aid each academic year. The financial aid application deadline for Returning Students is May 1st.

IMPORTANT: Parental Information MUST be included
The Yale School of Art requires all Financial Aid applicants to submit parental information on their CSS Profile in order to be considered for Financial Aid. Only in extreme cases is this information waived. If you feel you have an extreme case for which parental information should be waived, please contact the financial aid office for more information on our parent waiver process.
Instances for which parental information is waived include: deceased parents, documented abuse that has resulted in estrangement or court-ordered separation, extreme estrangement (parent(s) are not reachable without going through severe measures), or abandonment that resulted in adoption, foster, or other family care.
Unwillingness, age, marital status, and other standards of dependency are not conditions for which the School of Art waives the requirement of parental data.
