Work-Study Continuance
The School understands the vital role that work-study positions play in allowing students to support themselves throughout each term. For this reason, all work-study commitments are being honored. TAs and Graduate Monitors are continuing their work remotely, and any work-study jobs that can transition to some form of remote work are continuing through direct coordination with individual supervisors.
In cases where jobs cannot be done remotely, the School will continue to pay for the work that was expected for the remainder of the term. Payment is based on the average number of hours you have worked each week, from the beginning of the Spring 2020 semester to the beginning of Spring Recess.

Local Food Access
In light of the reduced routes the Yale shuttle is currently running, the School of Art is offering to help offset this increased food accessibility cost for students with need. This reimbursement will cover delivery charges or zip car rental costs for students still currently residing in New Haven who are facing food accessibility issues. Please submit requests for reimbursement with copies of receipts to David Blackmon.
Additionally, the School has put together this Google Sheet containing a list of local grocery stores and options for grocery delivery in New Haven. For the most part, grocery stores currently remain well-stocked and many restaurants continue to offer delivery and takeout services, but we will update this list as changes occur in the broader landscape of food availability in New Haven.

Thesis Shows
The School is continuing to seek solutions to the important aspects of the program that are not viable via online education, such as the mounting of final thesis exhibitions. We are actively working on a schedule to install postponed thesis shows when the School premises reopen.
The delay in the staging of these shows will not affect any student’s ability to graduate. It is our hope that the School will be able to redirect resources to increase press efforts surrounding these shows, as well as potentially provide other opportunities to further disseminate your work to a broader public, whether through new publications or online archival efforts that can serve as a testament to our collective perseverance during this unprecedented time.
