Keira Alexandra, Graphic Designer

Ms. Alexandra received a BFA in 1990 from Rhode Island School of Design. She has worked for design firms in New York, including M&Co., Bureau and Number 17. She then became art director of MTV’s on air design department launching several network redesigns, after which she moved to Sundance Channel as the creative director. While at Sundance, she formed the in house creative department and merged all creative media and production, from short form content to marketing campaigns; she also relaunched the channel brand, and created award winning shorts. She then worked as one of a select group of pan media creatives for Johnson + Wolverton, creating a new branding behavior and look for Comedy Central. Most recently, she directed the animated sequences for the award winning Bill Cunningham documentary. She has created integrated work across print, web and television platforms producing commercial and editorial content, packaging and video installations. Ms. Alexandra has been featured on the cover of Metropolis and Dwell magazines. Her work has been included in the 100 Show, the Art Directors Club, Creativity 30, AIGA 365, the BDA Design Awards, the Andy Awards, the One Show, D&AD and Cannes and featured in ID, Eye and Print magazines. Ms. Alexandra has taught in the graduate program in graphic design at Yale since 1999.
